should we move to Canada? There is no health insurance coverage for pre- existing conditions in Texas.
Health care is NOT free in Canada.
Doctors visits are covered.
Prescriptions are not.
Casts if you break your leg are not covered.
Surgery may or may not be covered, it depends on what it is and why you need or want it but you will have to wait months or possibly years to get it.
We have an extreme shortage of doctors here. My mother is diabetic and does NOT have a doctor and cannot get one. My sister also does not have a doctor. Do not move to Canada if you want better health care.
You CAN get help from the company that makes the insulin. Talk to your local diabetes center about getting on the compassionate care program. I’m sure you can probably get most of her insulin for free, if you truly are needy.
There are also plans for reduction in costs of test strips, I think the brand that does this is Freestyle.

I had my gestational diabetes test done and they called about the results telling me to call back and of course I didn’t get the message until today after hours and now I have to wait until Monday… ugggg! what does this mean could the results come back bellow normal or always high? I’ve always been on the low side in regards to blood sugar, I exercise daily and I don’t think I eat bad. I’m 7 months and gained 14 pounds which I didn’t think was to bad. I’m dying to know what the outcome was. Is sugar the only thing they’re testing for, they did take a lot of blood. This is my 2nd pregnancy and the first one was easy breezy and I lost all the weight before I got prego again. This has been a harder pregnancy this last month I’ve had a lot of lower stomach pain (like bad side stickers) and off and on a lot of pelvic pressure.
I do believe that they just test to see how high that nasty drink makes your blood sugar go. I’m guessing if they called to let you know the results. I had the test done at 24 wks and I’m just now finding out the results a week ago. I don’t think anything is wrong personally. Usually women who need to worry are those who have previous experience with gestational diabetes in past pregnancies and it looks as if you didn’t have any problems with that before. But as far as the stomach pain and pelvic pressure, your body is probably trying to get used to holding the pressure of the baby. If you are worried of course contact the doctor or emergency dept. I know I have reaccuring lower stomach pain at night because my twins usually drop at night and I have a ton of pelvic pressure all day to the point were I can’t walk because I am carrying around a ton of weight. I’m 27 wks (6 mths, 3 wks) and I’ve gained 26 lbs and the boys are almost 3 lbs a piece. Things I do are take warm baths right before bed and when I get up in the morning to relieve the stress and pain and it works really well. I also drink a ton of water everyday. I have a small sports jug I take out with me also. I always order water and/or ice with my meals when eating out too. And try a warm compress or a heating pad. Hopefully that helps and mention it to your doctor. You could get a prescription for a muscle relaxer. Maybe you need to decrease or stop exercising. Hope that helps, take care.

The job I work at just started urine testing, they only send it off to the lab if the urine sample shows positive. Is there a chemical that can clean the sample while its in the cup. P.S. I drink water, and juice on a daily basis, not just to pass a urine test.

You could try drinking lots and lots of water which would dilute your urine enough that you would not test positive. You’ll find a lot of supplements and pills online, but they do not work so don’t waste your time. It also depends on what is in your system.

Well, if your OPK was negative, your pregnancy test would be negative too, since LH and HCG are very similar chemically.
Have you had a bloodtest done at your doctor’s office? This might be better than investing in more HPT’s.
