How do I report an offensive Instant Message?

A classmate that I’ve been avoiding for the last few days sent me a message today that’s extremely offensive (so much that our school will be informed, but I can’t post it here) and everyone I told said “Report the message,” even though it’s an instant message, not an e-mail or private message, etc.
They said I could, but I’m not sure. Can anyone clarify?

It can be reported to Yahoo, I hope you have archives enabled so there is proof of the message. If you don’t archive your chats Yahoo probably won’t do anything about it because there is no proof that this person even messaged you.

To report it to Yahoo, sign into messenger, at the top of the messenger window to the right click help, next select report abuse. A window will open giving you a form to fill in. Also make sure you have this persons Yahoo ID, Yahoo does ask for it. On the form Yahoo also asks you to copy and paste the message into the form.

What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?

I just spent all day doing Holiday baking. (I have a diabetic in the house and to avoid temptations, I wait till the last minute. Company will be over tomorrow and not much will be left to tempt this way) I love baking. I am the official baker of my family and am always expected to do our family favorites for the Holidays. I made our favorite sour cream sugar cookies today. Just like my grandma used to make. I was just wandering what is your family’s favorite for the Holidays? Happy Holidays to everyone.

Here are some great family favorites:

Cherry Dump Cobbler
Yields: 8 servings

1 ½ cup flour
1 ½ cup sugar
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ cup milk
2 cans pie filling (can be any flavor)
½ cup to 1 cup butter

Heat oven to 350 F. Melt butter in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk, & sugar in a mixing bowl. Pour into the pan. Add the pie filling to the batter in the pan & spread evenly.

In order to make sure the fruit is distributed evenly over the dough, I like to drop the fruit mixture by the spoonful onto the dough mixture in little rows.

Bake for about 45 minutes to an hour. Check the crust so that it is the consistency that you like (re: light brown, dark brown, etc.). The darker the crust, the crunchier it will be.

Top with whipped cream or ice cream.

Extras:

Add a few handfuls of instant Quaker oats for crunchiness.

Add cinnamon to taste (especially if using apples).

Use different types of canned fruit: does not have to be cherries (can be blackberries, apples, peaches, blue berries, black berries, etc.).

Note:

I always keep canned fruit on hand for this “really impressive” emergency dessert. For instance, if I really need something for dessert, this dessert always pleases my family, & it is really easy to make.

Gooey Butter Cakes
Yields: 15 – 20

One 18 ¼-ounce package yellow Cake mix (I use Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden)
1 egg
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine ingredients & mix well. Pat into a lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan. I use a glass one .I also pat this up the sides of the pan. Prepare filling.

Filling:

One 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter,
melted
One 16-ounce box powdered sugar

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs & vanilla. Add butter; beat. Add powdered sugar & mix well. Spread over cake mixture.

Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. You want the center to be a little gooey, so do not over bake.

It only took 37 minutes in my oven. It will be brown & start to leave the sides of the pan.

Different Variations:

For the holidays, add a 15-ounce can of pumpkin to the filling; add cinnamon & nutmeg.

Add a 20-ounce can of drained crushed pineapple to the filling. Use a lemon cake mix. Add lemon juice & zest to the filling. Use a chocolate cake mix with cream cheese filling.

Add chocolate chips & nuts on top. Use a spiced carrot cake mix. Add chopped nuts & shredded carrots to the filling. Use mandarin oranges, bananas, blueberries, or strawberries-just coordinate your extract flavorings. Use a chocolate cake mix.

Add 1/2 to 1 cup peanut butter & nuts to the filling. Add about 1 cup of Heath Bits to filling.

I’ve been a Jobst customer for years, then I heard about the Aleva brand and I was curious to see how the quality compared. I’m not one to always buy the cheapest because I believe you get what you pay for, but these Aleva socks are just as good as Jobst and the price is just right. I would say comparatively speaking, Aleva is right in the middle of the road with it’s cost, but the quality is top notch.

My diabetic dog won’t eat…?

My 14 year old rat terrior/jack russell diabetic dog won’t eat his food and I’ve tried everything. He is getting 10 mil of insulin in the morning and 4 mil at night time. Should I lower his dosage until he begins eating again? Also, the only thing I can sort of get him to eat is lunch meat like turkey or ham. Is this bad for him and what are some more options for food that I can try to feed him. I also give him beggin strips and I’m not sure how safe these are either to give him. He’s also recently started urinating in the floor again which he hasn’t done in a while. Any suggestions on any of this? He’s my baby and I just want to do the best I can to take good care of him. Thanks!

You NEED to get your dog back to the vet asap. If he is urinating again the insulin has stopped working, and you should not be giving it without food to begin with. You could put him in diabetic shock. In addition, you should not be feeding him things like Beggin’ Strips-you could cause a case of pancreantitis that could kill him in a matter of days, as diabetes does not allow a dog to heal well, just like in humans.

Time for a glucose curve to adjust the insulin and find out why he is not eating.
