Many of my readers often comment on how much I seem to enjoy blood pressure monitor reviews. After years in the medical product review profession, I know first-hand the dangers of not taking care of your health HCL (Health Care Laziness) is how I refer to it, and it causes more health problems than any other risk factor I can think of.
Many older people depend on blood pressure monitors to maintain good cardiovascular health. I suppose I’ve rambled on long enough, it’s time to actually review the Lifesource UA-853AC Stand-Up Blood Pressure Monitor. I usually like to review the more portable types (because I travel a lot myself) of blood pressure monitor. Nonetheless, I have to admit that the larger monitors, like the UA-853AC are more accurate and have more features. This Lifesource Monitor has every feature that you could possibly want or need in a home pressure monitor.
The Lifesource UA-853AC Stand-Up Blood Pressure Monitor is a rock, and as dependable or accurate as any model we have tested. It is not on the cheaper end of the BP monitor spectrum; however, it isn’t expensive either. If you consider all of the features offered by this monitor, then it is definitely one of the better values available.
My favorite feature of the Lifesource UA-853CP monitor is the Irregular Heartbeat Detection technology it uses. IHD is extremely useful in allowing users to receive early warnings about possible arrhythmia issues. Irregular heartbeat conditions detected by the monitor can then be discussed with a physician and further diagnosed. I cannot stress enough how valuable this feature could potentially be for some people. The technology is mature and well developed; moreover, the detection technology used in monitors like the UA-853AC monitor has already added years to many users’s lives. Detecting arrhythmia issues early can help a patient stave off a potential heart attack or stroke.
Another very useful feature of this particular monitor is the TimeWise system of automatically differentiating between morning and evening BP readings. The system can automatically calculate average readings for both. This can help a physician determine medicine dosages. If you take medication for hypertension, then you know that morning and evening dosages will often times vary. Taking these reports to your doctor will only to serve to make him more effective in your treatment.
The Lifesource monitor will also remind you to take your medication with audible alarms that can be programmed for three alerts a day. In addition, the monitor also provides for logging of your last ninety blood pressure readings. These logging and reporting results, enable your doctor better gauge the effectiveness of any potential medications. The display is very large and extremely easy to read (you won’t be reaching for your reading glasses for this one), and display results are easy to understand.
This monitor is very well made and designed to last. As with other Lifesource blood pressure monitors, this unit has a lifetime warranty.
Overall the UA-853AC Lifesource Monitor is a well made, first-rate, quality Blood Pressure Monitor that does everything we can expect a monitor to do. Because of the size of the monitor, you probably won’t find it very suitable for quick trips; however, it will fit easily in large bags or suitcases.
This Lifesource Monitor is a solidly built Blood Pressure Monitor that will give you very accurate results for years, with reasonable care and use. The UA-853AC offers a lot for the price you pay. This monitor has everything you need and nothing you don’t. This workhorse just works, and works well.
